Most hsp have difficulty switching off. In this blog I share the cause and what to do about it!
HSP are wired to be more attuned to their environments. Great to experience beauty. To notice how your loved ones or colleagues are doing. Or to be aware of the signals of your intuition.
But draining when you take on too much or when you can't seem to lower your stress levels after a day of impressions.
Almost every hsp I meet says: Where is my off button? I can't seem to relax.
It is important to know that your being is more connected to the environment than for non-hsp. So there is nothing wrong with you, when you experience that it is hard to find the off-button. But because we are wired this way, it is extra important to have a daily way of soothing our nervous system.
Our parasympathetic nervous system is the part of our central nervous system that helps us rest and digest. It is the gateway to feeling relaxed and un-stressed. We can connect with this part of our being to be able to switch off.
There are multiple ways to do this. And it is key to find something that speaks to your heart & soul, so you will integrate it in your every day life. So don't feel you need to meditate when this is something that doesn't speak to you :-)
